"The designer Élise Fouin has already collaborated with the Jars ceramics factory in the Drôme region of France: in 2019, she designed the crockery for the Halle aux grains, the Bras family restaurant in the heart of the Bourse de Commerce in Paris. This time, the designer has created the very first lamps for the house, starring in a collection of decorative accessories (tray, vase, candlestick...), transforming stoneware into a texture of hollows and folds. Lit or unlit, the pieces capture the light in their relief. Drawn from Élise Fouin's experiments on paper, they have been reproduced in moulds by the artisans at Jars, which has been awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label. The luminaires come in a suspension version and two free-standing models - as shown here - and in three shades close to natural tones (blanc coquillage, gris galet et aigue-marine).”
